Change in Spelling Program

Now that the students have had a chance to establish good spelling review study habits at home we are going to modify our spelling program a bit starting this month. Each week the students will be given a pre-test with a that week's basic spelling pattern. If a student demonstrates a solid understanding of the pattern by correctly spelling the words on the pre-test, that child will have a different spelling list for that particular week.This will allow for more differentiation in our spelling program, and it should provide an additional challenge for those students who are already comfortable with a given pattern. This will begin with this week's list - for the test to be given on January 15th.
