Our current literacy theme is Being Afraid. We are reading and discussing books such as Franklin in the Dark, Froggy's Sleepover, The Littles Get Trapped, and The Little Old Lady Who was not Afraid of Anything. Our guided reading stories this week are My Brother is Afraid of Just About Everything and Ira Sleeps Over.
We created a wall of sticky notes using the web 2.0 tool Corkboard Me. On each sticky note there is a sentence about something we are afraid of. Check out our corkboard here: 1D's Fears Corkboard
