Guest Reader (and author!)

Our guest reader wanted to read a book about broken bones since her first grader recently broke his arm. However she could not find any books in the library. SO - she decided to write her own!! She wrote a book based on fact, but she turned it into a really cool fictional story about a boy whose cast gives him super powers. This is a special book to the 1D Learning Lions because every single student is a character in this book. We are happy that this book is now part of our classroom library :-)

We learned about the layers of a cast and we heard about cutting off the cast. We are glad there are no more casts in 1D!
