First Day Jitters

Mrs. Simmons and Mrs. Yakscoe are so excited to meet the new group of 1D kids. Check out the countdown on the side of this blog - it will let you know exactly how many days until our first day!! The 1D teachers LOVE to read and we will read First Day Jitters by Julie Danneberg on our very first day. Everyone gets first day jitters - even the teachers. To help all of us feel comfortable on the first day, the 1D kids (and their teachers!) may bring a small jitter critter to the first day of first grade. The jitter critter should be small (beanie baby or Webkinz size) and we will use the jitter critter for some first day activities.
