Reader's Workshop

We started Reader's Workshop on the very first day of school. Each 1D student has his/her own book box. We have been practicing Read to Self - independent reading. We learned that there are three main ways to read a book: Look at the pictures, Read the words, and Retell the story. We are working to build reading stamina during Read to Self - reading for a bit longer each day. It is fun to find a comfy Book Nook (reading space) in the classroom.
