Reading in the Covered Wagon

The 1D Diamonds took turns reading or working in the covered wagon. However, our wagon was not as sturdy as a real pioneer's wagon. We encountered many hardships and had great difficulty keeping our wagon together. The teachers took some pictures on the few days that our special wagon table stayed together. After our "canvas cover" collapsed, the children were happy to go under the table and pretend that the table top was a wagon cover.  It is a good thing that first graders bring their imaginations to school with them each and every day!
